Area

Kensington

Kensington is a genteel district in one of the grandest boroughs in London, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It’s home to many of the city’s most significant museums, including the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the recently reopened Design Museum. Not only does the neighbourhood have many elegant shops, churches and parks for visitors to enjoy, Kensington High Street is a hub for music and journalism too. The Daily Mail – amongst other newspapers – have their offices here, as do the UK offices of major music empires, like EMI, Universal and Sony.

Reviews

Jeff,
We arrived to find that a major renovation was going on next-door. For four of the five days we were there, we were blasted with sounds of drilling, sanding, sawing, hammering from early morning to late afternoon....even on Saturday. No one advised us of this situation leading up to our arrival. If we had known a major construction site was on the other side of our wall, we would never have chosen this place.
Joan,
Our original booking was unavailable as the flat in Earls Court was discovered to be on the market. agency offered this property as a replacement last minute. The house was comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms very good. I was a little uncomfortable with so many personal items in the house. Way too many family photos on display. The presence of security tape on kitchen cupboards and many, many ribbons tied to drawers and cupboards we were not allowed to open added to my discomfort. I even received an email during our stay reminding me not to use the crystal glasses, even though this cabinet had been tagged with ribbons. Overall, I enjoyed our stay because of the location but would not make another reservation in what is clearly a family home.
Felix,
The Clareville Classic is a lovely property. Very comfortable ,spacious and well - equipped. The garden area is lovely - unfortunately it was too cold to make use of it.
