Set back from the road, bordered by trees, and offering a generously-sized garden and a score of nearby parks, there's something charmingly countryside about this city home. A penchant for nature is traceable inside too, from the impressive light-filled garden room to the striking tree. It's even in the little details, like those adorable bumble-bee motifs embroidered on the cushions. Benefiting from two separate reception areas, you've got the option for a cosy living room, featuring plush purple interiors and a sweeping bay window, or a larger, contemporary garden room, bathed in sunlight from a few well-placed skylights and affording views (unsurprisingly) of the lush garden beyond. If you can't decide where to relax of an evening, let us make the decision even trickier by mentioning that they both come with a TV and a fireplace. We reckon three large sofas and the chance to open the glass doors on warm evening give the edge to the garden room. If you're looking for a quiet spot to work, there's also a handy desk and chair in the living room. Next to the kitchen is an airy dining space with an extendable table, comfortably seating ten. Six bedrooms combine simple interiors with ample storage space. The principal room offers a cosy reading spot by the window, framed by blossom trees, and a nifty TV stand at the foot of the bed. Much as there is to explore round here, we'd recommend a few lazy mornings in. Be rude not to.
We love...
The garden is everything we want it to be. Complete with outdoor furniture and Astroturf lawn, it's a welcome summer sanctuary. Hedged by leafy trees, there's also a bit of a screen between you and the railway behind.
