Description

Planning a multigenerational trip? A stone’s throw from the Thames, this unforgettable family home enjoys ample space, style and creature comforts.

There’s a balance between inside and out in the skylit living area, where Crittall-style doors fold back onto a long lawn bordered by flowers. It’s a space that diffuses the boundaries between cooking, eating and lounging – sun lounging too. Light up the barbecue and claim your spot on the comfy garden furniture. At the front of the house, a more formal reception room entertains with a large TV and Sonos sound system. A discrete laundry room helps keep things ship-shape and eyesore free.

Upstairs is all soothing blues and earthy hues – a peaceful palette that sets the tone for rest and relaxation. Of particular note: the Pinterest-worthy master suite, where bay windows, a dedicated dressing room and a marble-topped vanity makes everyday tasks a pleasure. A family bathroom and four more bedrooms can be found across the first and second floor, including a cot/ toddler room.

Children are pandered to not just in the bedroom – complete with teepee bed and toy kitchen – but throughout the home. There’s a miniature dining set up, blackboard and the kind of colourful artwork that’s as enjoyable to look at whether you’re two or 72 years old.

On your doorstep, family-friendly Inglethorpe Street is a good starting point for riverside walks to Bishops Park and exploring Fulham Broadway and Hammersmith. Putney Bridge underground is your gateway to the rest of the city.

Reviews

Alston:
Honestly just a stunning house. Anyone would be lucky to have a home like this; we were ecstatic to have the opportunity for a few nights. All rooms are finished to an extremely high standard, with every detail considered. The beds are wonderfully comfortable. And the whole house is bright and airy. The owners were very responsive to a couple questions from us. And because they have a professional firm looking after things while they’re away, everything went smoothly throughout our stay, and any small issues were swiftly resolved.

James:
My partner and I were travelling to London with a couple of friends, and we wanted somewhere to stay where we could hang out together, but also have our own space if we wanted. This property was perfect for us! The communal spaces were a great size so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other - and the rooms were the perfect size for us! The outdoor space was the icing on the cake, and made it worth it considering the location is a little far out of 'central London'. But we didn't mind. We'd definitely stay here again!

Paula:
Such a great space! The Inglethorpe Street property was perfect for our family trip to London. You might think it's a bit far from London, but we loved coming back each night to a more serene place compared to the hustle and bustle of central London. The bedrooms were the perfect size for our kids, and they loved the outdoor space too! So ideal for summer. Would definitely recommend this place to families or maybe two couples just travelling London together.
