Whether it's the sweeping bay windows throughout, the wash of white marble in the bathrooms, or the expanse of glass in the kitchen, it's safe to say that natural light abounds here. A feeling of airy spaciousness is enhanced by the open-plan layout, where sleek fittings and soft tones are contrasted by crimson notes and eclectic prints in the living room, and a striking, blue Lacanche oven and industrial-style windows in the kitchen. You'll find us cosied up by the fireplace in winter and with the glass doors open, enjoying an almost-alfresco meal at the little dining table in summer. Upstairs, swathes of light combine with vivid colours in two large double bedrooms. We're particularly keen on the textured, midnight blues on the top-floor, and the vintage-style bed in the principal room. The single bedroom is not to be sniffed at though, with a winning combination of designer wallpaper and scenic garden views. In fact, we'd say there's no part of this home that doesn't pile on the charm.
We love...
Though we can't promise a Mad Hatter's tea party, the garden is a perfect little oasis to unwind in. Screened by tumbling leaves and dotted about with scented flowers wafting delicious notes of jasmine and almond about, we'd recommend basking on the rattan sofa and ordering a cuppa. And what better way to wrap up all this relaxing than a soak in a splendid silver bathtub...
