The interiors of the house are full of character with beautiful period features; on arrival you will immediately notice the intricate staircase which was modelled on a ship’s interior. The patterned tiled floor in the corridor, elegant chandeliers and wooden panels create a charming atmosphere and remind one of a ship’s passageway. Towards the right is the TV room, a comfortable space with traditional décor, large wall-mounted TV and high-quality sound system. Across the corridor is the main living area with its spacious proportions and elegant design; it adjoins a piano room which accesses the wonderful back garden. The paved part of the garden is lined with beautiful flowers and has multiple dining arrangements, whilst at the rear is a sizeable grassy lawn where children can play freely. For convenience, there is a servery in the piano room, with a wine cooler and crockery to be used for garden parties and barbecues.
Across the corridor is a simply stunning dining room with views of the City. Its 10+ seat arrangement can accommodate the whole family for a formal dinner, and there is the added convenience of a servery with a heating tray, as well as a separate cupboard with a dishwasher for clearing efficiently without the need to carry dishes to the kitchen.
On the lower level of the house is the family kitchen with exposed brick features and a large island breakfast bar. This space is large enough to have two separate preparation areas and is fully equipped for every day or professional catering for parties or a large number of dinner guests. The dumb waiter in the kitchen connects to the living area, so guests can send hot meals up for a formal dinner. There is an informal dining room on the lower level, as well as a play area for children with low-level furniture and toys, as well as direct access to the garden.
At the rear of the first floor is a cosy seating space named “The Chapel” which catches the morning light beautifully and guests will particularly love enjoying their morning coffee and a quiet conversation here. There are three bedroom suites on this level; the Henrietta suite is a very light room with views of the garden. It has a double bed, elegant chairs as well as an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath as well as a shower room. The Nelson suite has a four-poster double bed. Its en suite bathroom is fitted with a bath and overhead shower. Finally on this floor is a room with two bunk beds (4 single beds in total) ideal for the children. Its en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower.
On the second floor are a further three bedrooms, again all of which are en-suite. All of these have double beds, two of which are four-poster. One of these bedrooms boasts the luxury of a sunny balcony with views of the City – a wonderful way to enjoy your morning meal. Two of the en-suite bathrooms have baths whilst the third has a walk-in shower.
