Reviews

Meg,
The location was excellent. First of all, Chelsea is simply beautiful to walk around and behold. The apartment is a mere moment's walk to King's Road, which abounded with both bus lines (so it was a cinch to get anywhere in the city) and cafes and groceries (and other retail we didn't care about). In the opposite direction, it's a mere moment's walk to the Thames, a lovely walk along the Thames, and a 10-15-minute walk over Albert Bridge (beautiful!) to Battersea Park (also beautiful! and with a playground that delighted our 10 y.o.).The kitchen was very serviceable. We made a couple meals there pretty easily. The living room was comfortable (and the sofa cushions made an amazingly comfortable impromptu bed on the floor). And we entertained ourselves endlessly with all the bits and pieces that were so different from what we have in small-city America. It was so fun to get a truly London experience in the apartment. It held our family of 4 (10 yo and 14 yo girls, us 2 parents) very well.
Todd,
Very clean and well set up flat. Close to Thames and transport Good food nearby.
Yan,
We liked our stay in Chelsea. the apartment was a bit dated, but charming, and well worth the price (London is expensive!) the flat had all the necessary amenities and enough space to host our family of four. the location could not be better - it is a serene area of London, which is still close to most attractions.
Scott,
Nice layout, very quiet street, right down from Kings Road. Good shopping for food nearby. Plenty of restaurants walking distance. 30 seconds from an amazing view of the river. We ubered everywhere, but plenty of access to public transportation.
Sandra,
Great location, between 2 main roads with bus routes but a quiet street; apartment had all expected conveniences; nicely decorated and not impersonal rental unit; spacious rooms. Would recommend to friends and stay here again.
Manya,
Flat was very clean, location quiet and in close proximity to Kings Road.
Patricia,
This property is located between Kings Road and the river. The street is quiet, yet 1 block off of Kings Road, which has everything! Short walk to Sloane Square, too. Very easy to catch a cab in this area. Lots of local restaurants, pubs and shops. The apartment is on the second floor. Great security. Felt very safe. Beds are comfortable. It sleeps 4 tightly. We were only 3, so it was fine. Kitchen is nicely stocked, if you plan to cook. The shower room could use a little TLC, but had lots of hot water. Management was excellent and very responsive. Would definitely stay again. Like I said, EXCELLENT LOCATION.
Chris,
What a lovely find in a historic part of Soho! This was just a very comfortable apartment, with everything we needed. The decor was a bit dated (think 1986) but that was, in a way, part of the charm. This was the sort of apartment that a character in an Anita Brookner novel would have lived in. The nearest underground station (South Kensington on the Picadilly line) is about 20 minutes, so we found the many nearby bus routes (easily accessible using on-line maps for times and routes) to be preferable--and indeed, a more pleasant way to get around London. Nearby Kings Road has all the shopping one needs. The flat is in a post-war building on an otherwise historic street, and is only a few steps from the Thames embankment. We were three people and I think any more than that would be crowded given that there is just the one toilet and one bath.
Trina,
The location was near the person we were visiting, close to multiple bus stops and a short walk to restaurants. The apartment was very clean. We did run out of some basic supplies and this company was quick to replenish them. We also left something in the apartment upon our departure so we called SMARTER and they were extremely helpful so that we could gather the item and still make our flight on time. If I ever come back to London I will absolutely book housing accommodations with them.
Margaret,
We loved the location of this flat. It is spacious, bright and has nice amenities such as a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The furnishings are a bit tired and the shower could be improved but overall, we were quite happy with our stay!
Josephine,
The position of this property is fabulous and it represents good value.
Charles,
I have used this company several time for my London rentals. Regarding connectivity and staff interaction, my view is that of first-class on every basis. I have used other Holiday Rental companies in the past. None rival Smarter regarding staff interaction. The flat I rented was on Old Church Street in Chelsea. As full informed transparency, I owned a house in north London for 25 years, as such my standards are possibly different from the typical traveler. The location of the flat was excellent. I know the Chelsea, Fulham, Sloan, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Pimlico arenas very well and the flat was the perfect launching place for my days of running the streets. The flat itself was very cozy. The furniture and art work were very reminiscent of my London house. Even the carpet was the same color.
Jim,
Wonderful stay at Old Church flat. The flat was located in a beautiful part of Chelsea and close to everything we needed. Very comfortable and well-appointed. Look forward to a return!
Andrea,
This unit is in a great location! Just around the corner from many shops and restaurants, and an easy bus ride to the tube station. A relatively quiet area and we felt very safe. Communication with the host was excellent, and we were able to collect the keys and check in quite easily. This unit is as-pictured, very old-fashioned without many modern amenities (does include washer and dishwasher). Overall, we used this unit as a place to sleep, not spending a lot of time in it. As we were touring the city every day, this served our purpose just fine, but for my family’s preferences I would likely seek out a more modern place for a future visit
Karl,
This was the perfect location for our family trip. A short walk to either the South Kensington or Sloane Square to get everywhere we wanted to be. The beautiful Chelsea neighborhood is filled with restaurants, pubs, and everything you need during you stay. The host was accommodating and a good communicator. We highly recommend it.
Catherine,
We were so pleasantly surprised by the rental. It was incredibly clean and we love the lamps that created a really cosy feel after a busy day exploring amazing London.
Mark,
Charming property in a perfect Chelsea location - had everything we needed
Maya,
Responsive service with a short distance to supermarkets and restaurants. Would definitely book again.
