Welcome to St George’s Square, a lovely home found within a Georgian townhouse, nestled on the edge of a quintessentially British garden square. A stone’s throw from the serene River Thames, this holiday rental is perfect for family parties hoping to explore all that this city has to offer.
LIVING & EATING
A light and spacious open-plan living and kitchen area welcome you, complete with a large sofa and armchair. The space is flooded with natural light thanks to the large French windows which open onto the private balcony.
The bright kitchen is fully equipped for the chef of the party to whip up dinners at home, with a round dining table to seat four.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The master bedroom offers a UK double bed (5ft wide). The second bedroom contains twin singles, that can be made up into a double. The bright family bathroom is complete with a shower, washbasin and WC.
ACCESS & LAYOUT
This apartment is accessed via one flight of stairs. There is also a flight of stairs within the home, leading down to the master bedroom. There is a lift to the half landing, which helps if you have luggage.
ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Victoria or Pimlico tube stations are a quick stroll away and offer fast connections to the rest of the city.
Local amenities such as grocery stores and ATMs are close by, as well as a diverse array of restaurants and cafes. Chimes offer hearty English food in a cosy and delightful setting or perhaps try Goya a lively Spanish Tapas bar. There is a fantastic Farmer’s market in Orange Square on Saturday mornings- great to gather supplies for a picnic or for a home-cooked feast. Little boutique shops and cafes line Pimlico’s streets – we here at Ivy would particularly recommend Delicias de Portugal, which boasts the best pasteis de nata this side of Lisbon. For those who enjoy their beer try Cask, a few minutes away on Charlwood Street: their beer list is so eclectic and varied it almost belies belief, and their burgers aren’t half bad either…
A bit further afield, don’t forget that you are within easy walking distance of the theatres and high-end fashion of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. They are only a half-hour walk for the light-footed or a short trip on a bus or tube for those who wish to take their exercise inside the shops instead of on the way!
