Chilled-out charm
This Battersea end-terrace home has an easygoing air. You enter on the ground floor, where a hallway leads to Afghan Road’s airy open-plan living area. At one end is the book-lined sitting room, with its colourful rug and fireside seats (all spread with plump cushions). Opposite that, past an eye-catching collection of oriental art, there’s the dining area with French doors to the garden. To the right-hand side, you’ll find the spacious contemporary kitchen. From there a large window looks out onto the paved garden with space to dine.
Ascending the stairs is the main bathroom, and then there’s the light second bedroom. Decorated in gentle colours and hung with delicate artworks, with a double bed and two armchairs. Above there’s another bathroom and the master bedroom with wall air-conditioning, which is simple, with several characterful antiques collected from your host's travels.
