Description

With Regent’s Park and Marylebone High Street on its doorstep, this elegant three-bedroom mews house is ideal for a friends-and-family getaway.

Sleeping as many as seven guests, this sophisticated mews house gives large groups room to spread out – a rare find in such a central location. Step through the private entrance to the living room, where velvet-clad sofas congregate around a coffee table and fireplace. The perfect setting for intimate soirees. A small desk gazes toward the quiet mews behind them, should you need a little inspiration when writing letters home or putting in a few office hours. An additional seating area is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a large single sofa bed.

Form follows function in the modern kitchen, complete with quality integrated appliances, a dishwasher and a coffee machine that makes mornings that little easier – prop yourself up for a quick bite on the island or make a meal of it in the adjacent dining area. In warmer climes, open the patio doors behind the eight-person dining table; fringed with greenery, the private patio is a lovely spot for an aperitif.

All three bedrooms are located on the first floor. The master is bright and airy, with a king-size bed, en-suite shower room and built-in mirrored wardrobes that amp up the sense of space. Two further bedrooms feature twin beds, while a well-stocked, standalone bathroom features a full-size tub and an over-bath shower.

Regent's Park Station is within a 10-minute walk, offering great transport links across the city. You’d be forgiven for staying local, however. Marylebone High Street and Regent’s Park are within strolling distance, and Oxford Street is a little farther south.

The Area

Moments from Oxford Street, Marylebone is like a red-bricked village. Paul McCartney penned Yesterday here; Arthur Conan Doyle wrote Sherlock Holmes. Walk north along its fashionable high street, past Daunt Books, to the many attractions of Regent’s Park. Come Sunday, a visit to Marylebone Farmers’ Market is best, followed by brunch at Chiltern Firehouse.
